Workroom is an Australian interior design studio specialising in commercial retail, residential and hospitality. Founded in 1999 by designer John Bornas and his partner Jo-Anne Gleeson. The final presentation of each of their projects reflects the delicate balance between design and engineering, aesthetics and function.

The private residence, called Gallery House, is Workroom's latest project. It highlights the rhythm and rhythm through the volume, form and movement of the space, making the sculptural architecture more expressive and permanent. Different openings in the facade bring light into the house to create bright internal living Spaces. 连接垂直空间的混凝土雕塑楼梯是工艺追求和流体运动的一种表达，与投射而入的光线互为辉映。通过一个类似于公共门厅或者入口的缓冲空间，当人们到达此时则会引发某种“期待”，使私人住宅具备了一种隐匿于街区景观之外的体验感。

The concrete sculptural staircase connecting the vertical Spaces is an expression of the pursuit of craftsmanship and fluid movement, complementing the incoming light. Through a buffer space similar to a public foyer or entrance, a certain "anticipation" is created when people arrive, giving the private house an experience that is hidden from the landscape of the block.
